Laminated core for small electric motor - with axial support webs cast onto smooth outer surface

Laminated core for small electric motor comprises several axial support webs which are applied by casting to the smooth outer surface of the unsolidified core. At each end of each support web is a clamp-like attachment which is integral with a projection extending into a bore which extends axially through the core. The attachments engage over the ends of the core, for centering the bearings. The projections are prepf. extended to form a continuous connecting web which integrally joins together the two attachments of each support web via the bore. The support webs including the attachments and projections are pref. made of injection-moulded plastic, pref. glass fibre-reinforced styrene-modified polyphenyl oxide.
