METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SHOES HAVING FITTABLE SHELL TO FORM OF WEARER*S FOOT

The manufacturing method is for ski boots using moulded prefabricated parts which for final shaping are put on the user's foot. The user puts on a heat insulating sock and the prefabricated and pretreated boot is put on over the sock, then introduced into an oven where it is subjected to heat treatment e.g. infra red heat or hot air. The stresses occurred during the previous mechanical operations disappear and the skin of the boot becomes pliable and at the same time shrinks, hugging accurately the shape of the foot. The boot is then fitted with an inner lining which shapes itself according the shape of the moulded boot and the shape of the foot.
