<p>An electrolyte level detector is used in accumulators as used in electric driven vehicles and has two conductive probes (24, 25) fitted to each cell of the accumulator. The probes are connected to an electric circuit which is completed by the electrolyte when the level of the latter is above or at an optimal active level in the cell, and to another electric circuit which is completed when the electrolyte is above or at a minimal level. An electrolyte filling tube is connected to each cell and to a reservoir such that when the probes indicate a low level of electrolyte some electrolyte is supplied to the appropriate cell. An indicating panel fitted in the vehicle is used to inform about the level of the electrolyte.</p> |
