1489608 Two-part couplings BUNKER RAMO CORP 10 Oct 1974 [17 Oct 1973] 43977/74 Heading H2E One part 40 of a two-part coupling is mounted on a terminal block 30 by means of an adaptor 10 which comprises a base 11 having an aperture 12 for receiving wires 48 from the one part 40, at least one flexible arm 13-16 at each end, a latching portion 13A-16A on each arm and at least one stabilizing flange 17-20, juxtaposed each arm; the adaptor, in use, having its arms 13-16 extending through and latching behind chosen apertures 34 of a row of apertures in a ridge 33 along a side of the block and with the flanges engaging a recess 35 in the ridge parallel to the row. The coupling part 40 is secured by screws 46 to mounting holes 10A in the base 11 and has two rows of contacts 43 from which conductors 48 extend. The block 30 comprises a foundation 32 supporting terminals 31 to which the conductors 48 are connected and has a ridge 33, each with apertures 34 and a recess 35, along two opposite sides. The flanges are shaped so that relatively more protruding portions 17A &c. abut the bottom of the recess and the upper portion 17B &c. abuts the side of the ridge above the groove. The conductors 48 are passed through apertures 34 not engaged by the arms 13-16.
