The width of the strips increases from outside to inside of the skirt as shown in Fig. 3 so that the strips may deflect readily when encountering an obstacle. To ensure greater flexibility the strips are slit vertically, 24, Fig. 2, or the slits may be staggered on adjoining strips (Fig. 4, not shown).</p> |
