In the self-shutting valve for building into floors the inlet pipe connection (14) and the outlet pipe connection (15) are arranged parallel to each other on one side of the main valve housing (1). The pressure-unloading valve (6) which is operated by foot pressure lies between inlet - and outlet connections (14 and 15). The piston stroke adjusting screw (5) is arranged on the outlet end of the valve and this adjusting screw (5) is in effective connection with a cage (13) fixed to the piston (2). At its end within the cage (13) the piston adjusting screw (5) carries a stop (52) for the front wall of the cage (13). The piston stroke adjusting screw (5) and the flush flow regulator (8) are arranged coaxially to each other.
