The board 3 is attached to holed members 14, 16 by screws 15, 17 and slopes down towards its middle portion. Screws 21 attach the base 19 to the holed members 20. The players 7 are carried on telescoping bars 6, 22. The bars 22 each rest at one side in slots in the frame. The bars 6 are each carried in a bushing 25, held in a slot 24 in the frame by a retainer strip 8, and are moved longitudinally and rotationally, being buffered by springs 27. Each retainer strip 8 extends the whole length of the board 3 and is slid in or out from one end to engage or release the bushings holding the rods 6. For assembly during initial manufacture, the strips 8 are pressed home from the top. Legs (35) can be inserted in recesses (34) in the frame 2 to support the apparatus on the floor. The ends of the frame 2 contain ball return elements 10 and scoring dials 11.</p> |
