<p>The ring file for documents consists of two plastics bars (10, 20). The bar (20) is provided with moulded projections (21) which slide in matching recesses (13') in the bar (10). A third bar (30) is provided with two pairs (31, 32) of headed pins. The pins (32) engage in longitudinal slots in the bar (10). The pins (31) engage in slots (23) which are inclined at an angle of 45 deg. to the longitudinal axis of the bar (20). Sliding the bar (30) in the longitudinal direction causes the pins (31) to travel along the slots (23) and pull the bar (20) towards the bar (10). The half rings (25) are brought into contact with the half rings (16) and so retain any documents placed on the half rings (16).</p> |
