Discharging system for particulate goods in storage vessel - uses pressurised gas to produce fluidised bed of particles and thereby facilitate unloading

Discharging system is esp. intended to facilitate the unloading of particulate goods from a storage container. The particles rest on a false floor (6) in the container which has an outlet for the goods at one end of the floor and an inlet for pressurised gas. The gas stream is filtered, dried and split into two streams before entering the vessel. One stream passes into a chamber under the false floor and up through passageways in the floor which are impermeable to the particles. In this way a fluidised bed is created. The second gas stream is ejected through pipes (21) located just above the floor and directed towards the outlet.
