The connection between the contactor and terminals 98, 99, 100 is by way of fuses 38 and the contactor is plugged into connectors 30, 46. The disconnect switch 52 has three pivoted contact blades 57 coupled to a common shaft 68 which also drives a shutter 75 so that so its apertures 76 align with apertures 74 in a fixed shutter 73 as the blades 57 move therethrough to engage fixed contacts 95. The contactor shaft 173 has an extension 138 which, when the contactor is operated to close its contacts, moves the end 137 of a pivoted piece 128 which through a link 150 moves a lever 143 to hold a link 112 in the coupling between the lock handle 15 and the disconnect switch 52. When the switchboard includes reversing contactors in compartments 6, 7 these are interlocked by mechanisms 126, 141, having parts 132, 133 and 132, 133 which move into each others paths when operated by contactor extensions 138 so that operation of either contactor locks the handle 15 and prevents the operation of the other contactor. |
