Machine uses a common control disc to couple the control mechanism for stitch width and the control sytem to determine the sewing line. Both control systems are composed of linkages mounted to the needle shaft frame. Power is supplied by the lower shaft with gearing at one end linked to the upper shaft, and the other end incorporating the stop motion device. The wt. of the machine is reduced, so that the construction is relatively simple with low dynamic strain and stress is use.
