PURPOSE: To produce castings having a sufficient strength and a homogeneity by preparing an aqueous slip from ceramics or metal powder, aids and water to a viscosity of a specific range, pouring the slip, and freezing it within a specific time. CONSTITUTION: The process for the production of ceramic castings comprises the steps of producing an aqueous slip by adding ceramics or metal powder with or without water, sintering aids and/or a carbon source, thereafter adding a binder and/or a dispersant or without adding it to a viscosity of 5 to 500 mPa.s, exhausting a mold before pouring the slip, preferably introducing the slip under a reduced pressure, and freezing the castings within not more than 69 seconds. The frozen castings are removed from the mold after freezing. Its drying is preferably dried after freezing. |
