<p>The protection for machine parts esp. shafts comprises a truncated cone shaped spring made up of screw and simultaneously spiral shaped coiled windings which can glide over one another. The smallest winding is mounted with play on a fixed (4) support and the largest winding is located with play in a fixed sleeve (5). The smallest and largest dia. windings incorporate friction sections (10, 12) which act on the windings. The ends of the windings (2, 3) are cut at an angle along the lines (8, 9) so that a tongue (10, 11) can be formed. One tongue (10) is bent inwards while the other (11) is bent outwards to engage with the fixed support (4) or sleeve (5).</p> |
