Float operated valve for tank with low output rate - has lower float controlling opening of valve and upper float to close it

The valve is a horizontal plug valve (2) operated through a lever arm (6) located in the valve housing. The end of the lever arm is connected to an arm (8) which carries the float (9). The bottom edge of the lever arm is bevelled and makes contact with a short lever (17). The end of this lever is connected by a link mechanism to a lower float (21). When the tank is empty both floats are down and the valve open. As the tank fills the submerged lower float is prevented from moving by the lever (17) being caught under the arm (6) until the top float moves up and closes the valve.
