O-Alkyl-O-[1-(3-nitrophenyl)-2-carbalkoxy-vinyl]-thiono(thiol)-phosphoric (phosphonic) acid esters of the formula (I) <IMAGE> in which R is alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio, each with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or phenyl, and R1 and R2 each independently is alkyl with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, WHICH POSSESS INSECTICIDAL PROPERTIES.
