<p>1481595 Benzopyranopyridines WARNERLAMBERT CO 3 June 1976 [13 June 1975] 22953/76 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of formula and their pharmacologically compatible acid addition salts, wherein R 1 and R 2 are each H, OH or C 1-6 alkyl or alkoxy, or R 1 -R 2 forms - OCH 2 O-; and R 3 is piperidino which is either (a) monosubstituted by C 1-6 alkyl, aryl-C 1-6 - alkyl or COX, X being OH, C 1-6 alkoxy, NH 2 , NH(C 1-6 alkyl) or N(C 1-6 alkyl)2, or (b) 2,2-di- or 2,2,6,6 - tetra - substituted by C 1-6 alkyl. These compounds are prepared by reacting N- unsubstituted benzopyranopyridines with the intermediates ClCH 2 CH 2 R 3 . The preparation of starting materials HOCH 2 CH 2 R 3 . is also described. Therapeutic compositions having brochodilator activity comprise compounds of the above formula and may be administered orally or parenterally.</p> |
