The installation is to measure out weight determined quantities of pourable goods such as ball bearings from a storage container with a closure cap at the outlet opening into packaging containers which are led past the filling point in stages using a rough measuring followed by a weight controlled fine measuring process. A rough measuring installation operating by volume with a transfer container (20) is positioned between the storage container (10) and the packaging container (4) which is movable to and fro between a receiving position (3) close below the outlet opening of the storage container (10) and an emptying position (7) in the packaging container (4).
