The door hinge has mounting plates (1, 2) which interlock at door closure and thus inhibit the violation of the hinge by burglars. The hinge may be of the type with vertically elongated plates (1, 2) which are fixed to the leaf and frame edges and incorporate cantilevering sleeves for hinge pins. The plate align with major faces abutting at door closure and the interlocking may be effected by projections (3) from either plate (1, 2) entering openings (4) in the counter plate. Each plate may incorporate alternating projections and openings. The projections may be fixed by screwing, welding, rivetting or crimping, or by cutting and bending flaps (3) from the parent plate (1).
