A radiation imaging system (1) comprises a solid-state imager (11) and a scintillator (21). The solid imager (11) has a photosensitive portion (13) and an amplifying portion (15) formed in one surface of an Si substrate (12). The photosensitive portion (13) includes a plurality of photodiodes (16) as photoelectric transducers for conducting photoelectric conversion, and these photodiodes (16) are arranged two-dimensionally. The amplifying portion (15) amplifies the outputs from the photodiodes (16) and outputs the resultant signals. The scintillator (21) is directly so formed on the one surface of the Si substrate (12) as to cover a region where the photosensitive portion (13) and the amplifying portion (15) are formed.
