1480015 Clamps L SOUTHERN 19 July 1975 30362/75 Heading E2B A jamming rope clamp of the type having an eccentric jaw which is rotated into its gripping position by the tension on the rope, has a laterally spaced passageway permitting free passage of the rope. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the passageway 30 is at the side of the eccentric 23 in the mounting block 12. As shown in Fig. 2, theeccentric has a sharp edge 24 to grip the rope. In another form, Figs. 5 and 7, the eccentric 34 is serrated and is mounted on pivot pin 33 which is bent down to the supporting base to leave the passageway 38. |
