<p>The surfacing machine, for making a road edge strip or banked section in roadbuilding, incorporates a conveyor with its outlet on one of the lengthways sides, and a stripper protruding beyond this side. The outlet on the conveyor device itself projects beyond the lengthways side and the stripping device is hinged to the end of an appliance carrier which is displaceable transversely to this side. The angle between the appliance carrier and the stripper may be adjustable about a horizontal axis. The carrier may have strippers hinged to it on both sides of the machine. Edge slope can be accurately adjusted, and damage to the roadside edge caused by the stripper sliding along it is prevented.</p> |
