<p>The tool spindle drive is for a multi-spindle automatic lathe. The tool spindles are located in the drive box, and on the same axis as the workpiece spindles. They are driven from a central shaft via change speed wheels. For changing the direction of rotation of the tool spindles, intermediate wheel shafts are arranged on the pitch circle of the tool spindle, between the tool spindles. At least one additional drive shaft (24a-24d) is provided for at least one additional tool, the axis of which is arranged outside the pitch circle (16) of the workpiece spindles (17a-17g).
