A system of control of the dry weight content of a solution moving within a number of series connected evaporators having a steam input feed connected to the first of the evaporators such that the amount of steam input into the system is dependent of the amount of solution and measured dry weight component content of the solution. Construction is such that the measurement of dry weight content produces a signal in an actuator device in the outlet pipeline. This signal is fed to a cut-off valve device which controls the liquid flow through a recirculation pipe attached to at least one of the evaporators at the end of the evaporator chain.
