<p>The straight-edge tool for smoothing plaster is manageable, easy to hold and sufficiently rigid to given an even finish. It consists of a rigid plate (2) with a longitudinal working edge (21). A hollow section (3) is positioned on top of this plate so that it extends along part of the length of the plate and right along its other lengthwise edge (22). This hollow section forms the handle and also gives the tool its rigidity. It is shaped so that its longitudinal sides (31,32) which are concave, form an area into which the fingers and thumb of one hand fit easily and comfortably. The hollow section is completely enclosed so that there is no possibility of the material getting inside it.</p> |
