<p>The weighing device, in in partic, for weighing people, with an illuminated scale which employs a light source which is switched off when the balance is in the null position, is designed for easier and more reliable construction and adjustment of the light switching mechanism. The use of an expensive rotating pinion shaft of electrically conducting material with a small non-conducting region is avoided by having a linearly moving lever switching mechanism. The light source contact operating element (30) is actuated by an associated contact (27) driven by a longitudinally moving drive shaft (12) which is effective over a suitable part of its travel.</p> |
