<p>The sugar beet harvester chassis consists of four uprights joined together at the top by arms supporting a vertical shaft. Two covers at the sides of the chassis houses two jacks with piston rods joined to the sides of a conveyor consisting of two rollers on which is a continuous belt. At the front of the chassis are two deflectors between which is a narrow passage. At the back of the chassis is an arm ending in a share and bearing in which rotates the bottom of the shaft. The shaft has radial arms supporting a special made of metal wires and forming an upper convex surface. At the bottom, the wires are attached to a blade which touches the top of the share.</p> |
