APTIPERSPIRANT

摘要

Anti-perspirant compsn. contains (1) a normally corrosive astringent Al- and/or Zr salt, esp. Al2(OH)5Cl or AlCl3 or a mixt. of Al2(OH)5Cl and Zr chlorohydroxide, and (2) sufficient corrosion inhibitor to reduce corrosiveness of astringent salt. Inhibitor system consists of (a) water-soluble or colloidally dispersible Al- and/or Zr silicates, or (b) surface-active cpds. contg. a semi-polar gp. X right arrow O (where X is N or P) and a water-repellent 4-22 C hydrocarbon gp., pref. lecithin phosphatides, or (c) mixtures of (a) and (b), where quantity of Al and/or Zr is >=100% above the stoichiometric quantity of Al and/or Zr for the silicates Al2(SiO3)3 and Zr(SiO3)2. All aq. anti-perspirant compsns., e.g. solns., creams, pastes, sticks, powders sprays, aerosols. Addn. of corrosion-inhibitor allows aq. anti-perspirant compsn. to be packed in metal containers and be dispersed therefrom ;aq. compsns. for aerosols require less propellant and are cheaper.
