The thrust bearing (3) of a clutch is mounted on a tubular shaft (2) which fits in the bore (8') of the housing (9). The main shaft (10) runs on needle roller bearings (13) with an outer race (11). This outer race (11) fits in a shroud (22) which is a press fit in the housing (9) in the bore (8). The end flange (26) of the tubular shaft (2) forms an end retainer for the needle rollers (13) and abuts against the edge of the outer race (11). To accommodate concentricity tolerances between the bores (8) and (8') a groove (7) is formed in the end of the shroud (22).
