The portable gas-heated hair curling tong has a construction ensuring constant gas pressure regardless of temp. variations. Gas ejected into a long heater nozzle (7) and mixed with air comes into contact with a catalyst and is heated by a switch-operated electric element to cause catalytic combustion of the gas air mixture and heat a curling tong. The nozzle is held by a holder (5) attachable to a gas pressure regulator block (4) contg. a gas inlet channel (46). A gas outlet channel (47) lies normally to the inlet channel and leads to the nozzle holder (5). An intermediate needle valve (55) has its position controlled by a spring loaded diaphragm (54) sensitive to gas pressure. A valve-fitted gas canister contg. e.g. LPG is connectable to the inlet channel in the regulator block.
