<p>1361379 Preparation ofγ-aryloxyacetoacetic acid esters LONZA Ltd 12 April 1973 [21 April 1972] 17591/73 Heading C2Cγ-Aryloxyacetoacetic esters are prepared by reacting a phenol compound in a solvent with an alkali metal or alkali metal compound and aγ-haloacetoacetic acid ester subsequently introduced in the reaction mixture, whereafter theγ-aryloxyacetoacetic ester formed is isolated from the reaction mixture, the amounts of the individual reaction components being so selected that, per mole ofγ-haloacetoacetic ester, there are used 3 to 5 moles of the phenol compound and that the number of moles of alkali metal or alkali metal compound used amounts to 90 to 100% of the sum of the moles ofγ-haloacetic acid ester and of the moles of the phenol compound used.</p> |
