The mechanism comprises a circular member 28 mounted on a spring 32 which permits movement of the member 28 in perpendicular directions 38, 40. A lever 42 carries a block 58 having a cam surface 56 engageable with the spring 32, for movement of the member 28 as the lever 42 is reciprocated 54 by a motor (43), Fig. 1 (not shown). As described, the player receives a plurality of cartridges in receptacles (14), Fig. 1 (not shown) each having the spring-mounted member 28. The motor (43), lever 42 and transducer 24 are then carried on a vertically movable platform 26, while common capstan 22 extends between the top and bottom of the player.</p> |
