A spherical type ventilator device, in partic. an air inlet with a cut off adjustable disc for use in motorised vehicles is constructed such that the cut-off disc is mounted in a tube (3) which is set into the spherical ventilator (1). The outer sleeve of the tube (3) has a section (9) of a screw threaded (8) design. This screw thread (8) engages with a matching thread (10) cut into the tube guide through which an aperture (2) for the tube outer sleeve (3) passes. The tube (3) permits movement of the disc from an open to a closed position as required.
