<p>Organophosphorus thiazoles of formula (I) are new: (where either (A) R = ethyl, R1 = methyl; X = O; or (B) R = p-methyl benzyl; R1 = ethyl; X = S). (I) are pesticides, esp. insecticides. In the example, (IA) was prepd. by the reaction of 61.5g potassium N-carbethoxy O-ethyl thioimide carbonate with 22.8g chloroacetonitrile to give 26.4g 5-cyano-4-hydroxy-2-ethoxy thiazole, and treatment of 17.5g of this prod. with 13g O,O-dimethyl chlorophosphate to give 14.4g (IA), n23D = 1.5056.</p> |
