Preparing a concentrated solution (less than 55% water) of the ammonium salts of boric, phosphoric & sulphuric acids. In reducing the sensitivity of ammonium nitrate to II-IV & III - IV crystal transitions. A far more concentrated mixture is possible than before, this eliminating the need for special evaporators in the NH4NO3 plant. Even mixing with the NH4NO3 is more easily achieved and the product does not give rise to insoluble precipitates.
