PURPOSE:To model sensitive judgments of men to determine the specification and control method suitable to the wish and taste of a customer by providing an inference engine for filing a membership function corresponding to a rule and a fact, collating the fact with the rule, and calculating the membership function. CONSTITUTION:An inference engine 625 collates a fact of an inference data base 621 with the premise part of a rule in a rule base 623, the conclusion part of the rule, when coincident, is registered to the inference data base 621, and a program or calculation scheme is executed, when resent in the conclusion part. When the fact is fact having a manipulated variable, and the rule is fuzzy rule having a membership function, the adaption of the fact to the premise of the rule is determined from the manipulated variable of the fact and the membership function corresponding to the premise part of the rule. |
