[Also in Division E2] A side-rolling hatch cover in which at least one cover section 2 is movable in relation to coaming 1 by means of a motor-operated pulling member 4, is characterized in a driving member 9 of the motor 8 being arranged outside the coaming and on a lower level than the top of the coaming. Two sheaves 10, 11 are mounted with their top parts at the same level as the top of the coaming and are arranged one to each side of the vertical plane through the centre of driving member 9. In the embodiment shown, the pulling member 4 is a chain and the driving member 9 contains a sprocket wheel. One end of the chain is secured to point 6 of the cover section and the other end is connected to the remote edge of the cover section.</p> |
