PURPOSE:To prevent a battery from being wasted unwittingly because a power supply is left ON at the time of closing a display part when an information processor, especially a note type or lap top type personal computer or a ward processor e.g. whose display can be opened/closed is not used or carried as a portable device. CONSTITUTION:The lap top type or note type information processor whose display part can be opened/closed is provided with a sensor switch 10 capable of sensing the opening/closing of the display part from a body part and a power supply control part 13 having a program operation means 12 for receiving an open/close signal from the switch 10 and confirming the presence of program operation and capable of controlling power supply ON/OFF and driving a buzzer. Consequently the power supply for the device can be prevented from being left ON and the disconnection of the power supply during the operation of a program can be also prevented.
