PURPOSE:To provide an energy-saving type air-conditioner that has upper and lower air outlets and is capable of mitigating an excessive cooling of user's feet. CONSTITUTION:An indoor unit main body 2 of an air-conditioner 1 has an air suction port 23 in the middle and air outlets 24 and 25 at upper and lower parts and an indoor heat exchanger 4 is situated in it. The air conditioner 1 is equipped with bypass pipes 11 and 12 so as to make high-temperature refrigerant bypass the indoor heat exchanger 4 during cooling operation cycle, and part of the bypass pipes is thermally brought in contact with the lower part of the indoor heat exchanger 4, so that the temperature of air blown out from the lower air outlet 25 becomes higher that of air blown out from the upper air outlet 24 and an excessive cooling of user's feet can be mitigated. |
