Distribution gear transmitting power from central shaft to multiple-screw plasticising machine

This distribution gear drives a multi-shaft screw plasticising machine, from a ring of pinion shafts (5, 6) turned by a central shaft (1). The pinion shafts (5, 6) accept axial forces from the driven screw shafts. The pinion shafts have coated end covers (13) which transfer these axial forces to the coated thrust plate (14) against which they lie, and which rotates with the central shaft. The thrust plate rests in its turn upon a thrust bearing (15) coaxial with the central shaft.
