According to the present invention, provided is an apparatus for processing overflow in digital transmission. The apparatus comprises: an excessive input detection unit which detects an overflow of a digital signal digitally transmitted via a transport medium from an adjacent node constituting a distributed antenna system, wherein the excessive input detection unit is disposed in a digital part installed in a corresponding node receiving the digital signal transmitted from the adjacent node, and the digital part performs digital processing of a relay signal adapted to relay a mobile communication signal in the corresponding node; and a digital gain control unit which is disposed on a signal transmission path of the digital signal, and controls gain based on at least one of information about whether the digital signal has been excessively input and an excessive input level, transferred as a result of the detection of the excessive input detection unit, so that the digital signal which has been excessively input is converted into a level equal to or lower than a predetermined allowable level. |
