PURPOSE:To provide a cordless telephone set which can recognize whether communication between the base and slave units is possible even at the state of standing by without calling through an extension line nor an outside line nor performing any special operation such as turning on the power source. CONSTITUTION:For the cordless telephone set constituted of a base unit 1 to be connected to a telephone line and single or plural slave units to be connected through radio to this base unit 1, this method is provided with a judging means 3 to exchange confirmation signals and responding signals corresponding to them periodically between the base unit 1 and the slave unit and to judge whether the specified slave unit and the base unit 1 are in a communication enable state, and means 7 and 9 to display or top signal the judged result of this judging means 3, display or to signal the judged result of this judging means 3. |
