The present invention provides a display apparatus and a driving method for the same, to improve display quality in a time-space division driving mode. According to the present invention, the display apparatus comprises: a comparison value calculation unit using data of an attention pixel part and a plurality of neighboring pixels placed around the attention pixel part to calculate a plurality of comparison values; a gamma determination unit comparing the comparison values with a set condition to determine whether to operate the attention pixel part in a time-space division mode; a gamma output control unit using general gamma to generate general gamma data of an attention pixel when the comparison values satisfy the set condition, and using high and low gamma to generate high and low gamma data of the attention pixel in the time-space division mode when the comparison values does not satisfy the set condition; and a data driving circuit converting the gamma data of the attention pixel part generated from the gamma output control unit into data voltage to output the data voltage to a display panel.
