PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonlead piezoelectric ceramic composition that has a high Curie temperature, a large mechanical quality factor and a large frequency constant and can be used in piezo-resonators and vibrators with a small temperature coefficient of resonance frequency. SOLUTION: This piezoelectric ceramic composition includes at least Li, Nb, Na and Ba as metallic elements and, when the composition is represented by the following formula in the molar ratios of the oxides, xLiNbO3.yNaNbO3.zBaNb2O6 (x+y+z=1), the main components in a specific range represented by the points x, y and z is combined with the sub-components represented by ReNb3O9 (Re is at least one selected from Nd, Pr, Gd, Sm and La) in an amount of 3-20 mol.% based on the whole amount. |
