PURPOSE: A biocidal composition is provided, to stabilize the biocidal composition containing halogen-containing compounds. CONSTITUTION: A composition comprises a halogen-containing biocidal compound; an acid whose pKa is 0-10; and a solvent, and its pH is 0-6. The halogen-containing biocidal compound is preferably selected from the group consisting of haloformaldehyde, halogenated nitrilopropyonamide and isocyanurate, and more preferably are dihaloformadooxime carbamate. The acid is selected from the group consisting of monocarboxylic acid, polycarboxylic acid, phosphoric acid and boric acid. The solvent is water, an organic solvent or their mixture, and more preferably is the mixture of water and glycol ether or glycol ether acetate. |
