PRODUCTION METHOD OF CORDYCEPS USING THE LARVA OF ALLOMYRINA DICHOTOMA AS THE HOST

PURPOSE: A method of producing Cordyceps using the larva of Allomyrina dichotoma having excellent pharmacological effects as the host is provided to use the Cordyceps for the treatment of various human diseases. CONSTITUTION: The method is characterized in the following steps : (i) making a liquid induced medium by mixing combined substrate and a minimal salt stock solution with distilled water and sterilizing the mixture ; (ii) inoculating Cordyceps sp. to a spore suspension, putting the suspension in the induced medium and culturing the fungus by shaking under 130rpm at 24deg.C for 7days ; (iii) getting a coenzyme solution by growing mycelia with the cultured fungus and separating the cultured filtrate from the mycelia by centrifugation ; (iv) spraying the coenzyme solution to Allomyrina dichotoma larva and leaving the larva at 50deg.C for 3hr ; and then (v) adding brown rice to the processed larva and inoculating the strain of Cordyceps japonica to the larva. The combined substrate contains 1% of wheat bran and colloidal chitin.
