PURPOSE:To carry out a boosting function, anti-lock control, traction control, autobrake control and brake holding control with only one modulator by providing a brake pressure control valve, a decay valve and a composite modulator. CONSTITUTION:When a relational control valve 4 is operated by depressing a brake pedal, hydraulic oil having a hydraulic pressure in proportion to a hydraulic pressure generated from a tandem master cylinder 3, flows into a hydraulic pressure chamber G in a composite modulator 5 from an accumulator 10 through a port 5b so as to hold a fail-safe position 51 in a condition as shown. Simultaneously, a brake pressure control valve 8 is opened and accordingly, the hydraulic oil from the accumulator 10 flows into a hydraulic chamber 1 through a port 5c. The booster piston 53 is moved rightward overcoming the urging force of a spring 65 so as to generate a predetermined hydraulic pressure 53 which operates a brake. |
