PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the excessive amount of volatiles thereby to reduce an irritating odor when the temperature in a refrigerator rises by setting a gelatinous antibacterial agent, wherein a volatile antibacterial component is wrapped in a cyclodextrin, in an area where cold air passes. SOLUTION: A gelatinous antibacterial agent 14, wherein a volatile antibacterial component 13 is wrapped in a cyclodextrin, is set in an area such as a cold air duct 11 within a refrigerator where a cold air passes. If the moisture in the air gets into the refrigerator from the outside when a door thereof is opened, antibacterial component particles wrapped in cyclodextrin are released by being replaced with the incoming moisture. Thus, even if the temperature in the refrigerator rises when a door thereof is opened, the antibacterial particles in unnecessarily large amount are not released, and hence an irritating odor can be reduced, while smell reducing effects are being sufficiently maintained. |
