PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an architectural joining tool capable of securing sufficient strength by relatively simple work and a joining structure using the tool in joining/fixing work in a joining place of the column lower end and sill crosspieces in a wooden building. SOLUTION: In a joining structure, left/right horizontal members 6, 6 are joined/fixed at an angle of almost 90 degrees on a foundation, and a column 3 is joined/fixed to an upper part of a corner part of the left/right horizontal members 6, 6. Then, one end of a metallic plate main body 1 is joined to a baseplate 2, a fitting part 1A is extendedly arranged on the other side of the metallic plate main body 1, a joining tool 101 forming a through hole 5 for inserting a fixing means 4 into the fitting part 1A is used, a slit 3A is formed in the diagonal line direction on a lower end surface of a column 3, the fitting part 1A of the joining tool 101 is fitted in the slit 3A, the fixing means 4 for penetrating/installing the column 3 is inserted via the through hole 5 formed in the fitting part 1A, and a cut end of an end part of the two horizontal members 6, 6 is allowed to abut to the metallic plate main body 1 between the lower end surface of the column 3 and the baseplate 2 of the joining tool 101.
