PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably and accurately grasp lowering of acceleration performance of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 8 measures the acceleration time ta of a vehicle by a timer 14. Further, a car speed s1 and a pedalling displacement amount a1 of an accelerator pedal during starting of acceleration and a car speed s2 and a pedaling displacement amount a2 during completion acceleration are obtained by a car speed sensor 18 and a throttle sensor 20, respectively. The microcomputer 8 determines an accelerator pedalling amount A from (a2-a1)×ta/2 and a vehicle accelerator amount B from (s2-s1)×ta/2. In addition the microcomputer 8 determines an acceleration performance value F from B/(A×g1) by using a vehicle weight g1. By comparing an update acceleration performance value with a precedent acceleration performance value, lowering of acceleration performance is detected.
