A difficulty with conventional liquid storage devices is to reduce the possibility of liquid leakage. A liquid storage container has: a liquid storage section capable of storing liquid; a liquid pouring section capable of pouring the liquid into the liquid storage section; a second atmosphere chamber (186) connecting to the atmosphere; an atmosphere introduction passage capable of introducing the atmosphere into the second atmosphere chamber (186); and a communication passage for connecting the liquid storage section and the second atmosphere chamber (186). When the liquid storage container is in a position in which the intersection section between the liquid pouring section and the liquid storage section is directed upward in the intersection direction which intersects the horizontal direction, if the length of a communication opening (205) in the intersection direction is H2, the communication opening (205) being a connection opening for connecting the atmosphere introduction passage and the second atmosphere chamber (186), and if the length of a communication opening (106) in the intersection direction is H1, the communication opening (106) being a connection opening for connecting the communication passage and the second atmosphere chamber (186), then the communication opening (205) is located below a point located below the upper end (213) of the second atmosphere chamber (186) by the distance of H2, and above a point located above the lower end (211) of the second atmosphere chamber (186) by the distance of H1. |
